Race and Class Equity in Healthcare

This course examines healthcare disparities as they relate to race and class intersectionality.  It examines factors affecting individual and community health and access to care.  Finally, the course outlines strategies to support access and agency for marginalized communities. 

Upon course completion, participants will be able to: assess factors contributing to inequitable outcomes for minoritized populations; outline historical events that impact trust in healthcare settings, promote awareness among stakeholders of key implications of cultural-linguistic diversity in healthcare, outline ways in which race and class intersectionality impact healthcare access and agency, identify next steps in advocacy for minoritized populations.
